Our Faith

  1. SCRIPTURE: We believe both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God and are the infallible and authoritative revelation of God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
  2. ONE GOD: We believe there is one true God, eternally- and self-existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,1; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)
  3. DEITY OF JESUS: We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as revealed in Scripture: His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father and the hope of His personal and visible future return to earth. (Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Matthew 28:6; Hebrews 1:3;)
  4. FALL OF MAN: We believe man was created good and upright in the image of God. However, man voluntarily sinned and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death. (Genesis 1:26,27; 2:7; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19)
  5. SALVATION: We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin and attaining eternal life is through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8)
  6. WATER BAPTISM: We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus in order to fulfill the command of Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:37-39)
  7. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation. With this baptism comes power for life and service and the endowment of spiritual gifts for use in the ministry. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)
  8. SANCTIFICATION: We believe sanctification is the act of living a spirit-filled life for the purpose of separation from that which is evil and personal dedication to God. (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 5:18)
  9. BODY OF CHRIST: We believe the church is the Body of Christ, which is the habitation of God through the Spirit, carrying the divine responsibility of fulfilling the great commission. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 2:22; Hebrews 12:23)
  10. DIVINE HEALING: We believe the healing of the body by divine power was provided in the atonement as a privilege for all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Acts 4:30; James 5:14-16)
